On October 5, 2020, Eva Jinek hosted a talk show with YouTuber and singer Famke Louise (feature photo), Intensive Care physician and Outbreak Management Team member Diederik Gommers, Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport of The Netherlands Ernst Kuipers, Mayor of Rotterdam Ahmed Aboutaleb, presenter Pepijn Crone, Professor of Behaviour and Performance Management Michaéla Schippers, Professor of Virology Hanneke Schuitemaker and DJ Cem Araci (aka Outsiders).

Talkshows that have been broadcasted are normally made available at uitzendinggemist.net, but unfortunately the one featuring Michaela Schippers has been removed. Prof. Schippers was one of the guests on Jinek’s talk show on October 5th, 2020, where Michaela Schippers confronted Mr. Gommers and Mr. Kuipers with her scientific research and stated how Dutch corona policies and lockdowns were “a cure worse than the disease”. She was not allowed to sit at the table with health minister Kuipers, but was seated on a back bench, as a ridiculous “security measure” to prevent a possible transmission of the covid19 virus among the guests and public attending the show. In this way, the most-watched commercial station in the country (RTL4), tried to humiliate and ridicule a renowned scientist who dared to question the corona response policy.

October 25, 2021. The same “backbench treatment” was reserved for Mike Verest who appeared as a guest on national television at NPO1. Mike Verest chose not to get vaccinated because, as he argued, he had recovered from corona and thus had natural immunity which is superior to immunity achieved artificially. Furthermore, he argued that research showed that people with an unhealthy life style ran the greatest risk to end up in the Intensive Care Units.
